And the Winner is.........Sherwood Dungeon !!!!

You did it!
You amazing bunch of passionate Sherwood players have done the impossible. Thank you! Sherwood Dungeon is the 2007 winner of the PopVox Best Game and Best of British Columbia awards at the Vidfest New Media awards. This was in a field that included games like Need For Speed Carbon, NHL 07, Company of Heroes, Scarface: The World is Yours and Mario Strikers. I felt a like the high school geek running for class president, so I’m a little light headed today. In a gala event, in front of new media and games professionals from around the world - we ruled! Just so you know, Best of BC was not only the games industry, it included Web 2.0, digital animation, music score, mobile games and visual effects that originate in BC. Best Game was open to entries from around the world. It's a big deal, it's all because of your votes and you're the ones who won this!

You must have also noticed that Club Marian was launched early this week, right on schedule and seems to be doing really well. I hope the new avatar creation, music interface, disco lights and driving were a nice surprise. I've got a few more things planned down the road for this, but Sherwood has been taking most of my time lately. Here's a few teaser screenshots of a visual upgrade I have planned for October (I hope). The new Dark Knight is still to come - harder than I thought, but we'll get there.

Yeah, one Gene gets done, the graphics will be better then WoW!!! Dragonz look pwn-eriffic

Now people can't say anything about this game now once the new textures come.

This is funny in a way. couple weeks ago we were complaining how the monsters and avatars don't blend in at all to their enviroment. Now it seems like the enviroment doesnt blend in with the avatars and monsters!

What do you mean you cant get updates for sherwood? Its an online thing, when Gene updates the game, everyone gets it.

Well, not all RuneScapers are braindead, I mean, I have a lot of friends who do. It's just the majority of people who say "RuneScape owns any other game cuz they're all I'm so happy", etc. RS isn't decent. Oh and, Ziro gives me negative karma for everything I do.

Lemme get all the pros and cons for Sherwood, or any other MMO compared to RS's pros and cons.

RunEscape Pros

It's an MMO, any game like that is cool'n'Poo

RunEscape Cons

Sh1tty fight system, seriously, it's bleepin chance for god's sake!! If you are good at games like that, you should be able to show your skill!!

Graphics. Nuff' said.

Community. Three categories. N00bs, ya'll know what a n00b is. E-daters, Nuff said. High levels that treat low levels like Poo. Categories explains it self..

Staff. Won't give jack Poo no more to Free players. Which is really dumb. Members pay 5$ for the game so they shouldn't get that much since 5$ is LOW. And....90% of polls are only availbe to Members. And the forums are only availibe to Members also. I can guarentee you any other game that has forums will have it availble to any players of the game.

Sherwood Pros

Best graphics next to Guild wars.

Free all the way. Except for Internet pay

Community has hardly any n00bs. If you consider the n00bs in non clan rooms...well, there just dumb and don't represent Sherwood's true form in anyway.

Only one guy works on it. Now you might say, how is this a pro? First of all. There is no schedule on what Gene works on. He releashes things as there done. Not as soon as possible and there all buggy.

Sherwood Cons.

Limited things, yes. But tha what you get when not alot of people work on something
